In a stunning and whimsical announcement, Universitas has revealed the launch of a new major designed to elevate the art and science of observing the sky: Cloud Watching. This pioneering program aims to cultivate a new generation of cloud enthusiasts equipped with both scientific knowledge and creative insight.

The Department of Atmospheric Arts will offer a range of courses, including “Advanced Fluffy Clouds,” “Cirrus and Cumulus: A Comparative Study,” and “The Art of Storm Watching.” Each class will blend hands-on experiences with theoretical knowledge, allowing students to engage in field trips, where they’ll venture outdoors to observe and document cloud formations in real-time.

“This program represents the intersection of science, art, and wellness,” said Dr. Nimbus Cirrus, the program’s coordinator. “We believe that by encouraging students to connect with nature, we can foster a deeper understanding of our environment and promote mindfulness.”

Enrollment for the Cloud Watching major has skyrocketed, with prospective students flocking to campus to learn about the intricacies of weather phenomena and their impacts on the world. As part of the curriculum, students will also delve into historical cloud lore and explore how different cultures interpret the sky.

In addition to academic pursuits, the program will emphasize practical skills such as photography and creative writing, allowing students to express their observations through various artistic mediums. “We want our students to not only observe clouds but also capture their beauty and convey their feelings through art and words,” Dr. Cirrus added.
